Given the current pandemic, ministry is different. Activities and events where we can physically be together are either on hold or limited. Some have been replaced by online (mainly Zoom) meetings instead.
We have simplified our website, removing many of the previous menu links. Rather than spend time searching different tabs, this page summarises what is on offer, with links to various online meetings. It also includes other resources which you may find helpful. It covers Pastoral & Practical Care, Sunday Services, Prayer & Devotions, Regular Activities & Events, and Other Resources.
WBC continues to offer Pastoral & Practical Care. Our Pastor is available via phone, email, video call, or even a 'socially distant' outdoors meet. As a church we are looking out for one another by small groups keeping in regular contact - we'd be happy to add you to a group if that would help. These are difficult days, don't be afraid to ask for help!
We are also offering practical support, such as food or pharmacy collections & deliveries. We also work with Chipping Norton Foodbank, so let us know if you find yourself in need. Or, should you wish to donate you can drop off in our church porch, or arrange for us to come and collect.

Since we have found that both meeting in Church AND meeting over Zoom have enabled us to have good fellowship together, we have taken the decision to start 2021 by alternating between Church & Zoom based meetings, with options for you to connect in to either, as follows:
Church Based - 10.30am on 3rd, 17th & 31st January
As many as are able are encouraged to join us in Church. Facemasks and Pre booking is required. If unable to physically be with us, you can join us over Zoom (see below for details).
Zoom Based - From 10.15am on 10th & 24th January
Services over Zoom allow for more interaction with each other, and are particularly helpful for those unable to be physically with us at this time. Join from 10.15 for chat prior to our starting the service at 10.30am.
Those unable to connect are encouraged to join us in Church, where the Zoom service is led from, and others can be seen and heard via the big screen.

Maybe you're just looking, and the idea of being seen on a Zoom call is the last thing you'd want. We know many people are taking the opportunity of churches being online to take a look in the comfort of their own homes. You can still do that with Zoom! Just log in with your mic muted and your video turned off.
Our services are not currently recorded, so here are some suggestions of churches we have a connection with:
Burford Church
Burford are part of our Gospel Partnership. Each Sunday they livestream their 'JAM' Children's ministry at 9.30am, followed by their Sunday service at 10am. These are then made available shortly afterwards.

Magdalen Road
Another church we have links with is Magdalen Road in Oxford, who have supported us with visiting speakers when needed. Their livestream takes place at 10.30 on Sundays, and is made available shortly afterwards.

Prayer is a key element of our Sunday gathering, but we also have a monthly prayer meeting over Zoom. Our next meeting is 14th January.

Whilst we are limited in being able to physically meet each Friday, we do still have opportunities to meet, virtually or otherwise!
Each Friday, in place of our regular cafe, why not grab a cuppa and a slice of cake, and join on Zoom with others from the community for a good old chin wag!

Those in school years 7-11 continue to meet on Fridays, typically but not always over Zoom. During the pandemic we have, when permitted, met when practical.
At present, we are meeting every couple of weeks over Zoom. Our first meeting of 2021 will be on 15th January.

Perhaps this time has got you personally, or has caused others you know to spend more time thinking about God, who he is, and maybe even where he is in the midst of a pandemic like COVID. Here is one resources which may help.
John Lennox is a mathematician, philosopher of science and Christian apologist. He is Emeritus Professor of Mathematics at the University of Oxford and an Emeritus Fellow in Mathematics and Philosophy of Science at Green Templeton College, Oxford University.
In this book, Professor Lennox addresses how belief in a loving and sovereign God helps us to make sense of and cope with the coronavirus outbreak.
